![]() Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin and Red Hood arrive as the Manor explodes and search the rubble, finding Bruce's corpse. While the cave explodes, Batman charges at Ra's, finishing his battle once and for all as the cave explodes, killing himself and Ra's. Batman then detonates the Batcave along with Wayne Manor. When Ra's catches back up the Batman, he tells him he is going to kill the Bat-Family, Alfred and then burn Gotham to the ground. After impaling himself on Ra's sword to show him that he isn't afraid of dying Batman briefly incapacities him to initiate his Code Black Protocol and begins to take off the Batsuit and seal the Batcave, trapping himself and Ra's inside. The intensity of the battle destroys majority of the cave, including the Bat-Plane and Batcomputer. ![]() After inoculating himself of the poison and sending a distress signal out to Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin and Red Hood for assistance, Batman resumes what becomes his final battle while buying time for the Bat-Family to show up and has his entire back burned heavily during the battle, though the Batsuit was able to protect him from severe burns. During Gotham KnightsĪt the start, Batman is ambushed by Ra's Al Ghul in the Batcave, being shot in the chest and spine by poison tipped crossbow bolts. He then stated that he was leaving them the Belfry as a base of operations and trusted each member to keep Gotham safe. In the message, Bruce acknowledged that it wouldn't take long for criminals to realize he was gone and that the Gotham City Police Department had been unable to trust them since the death of Jim Gordon. ![]() Bruce ensured that upon his death, a pre-recorded message would be sent to the members of the Bat Family. īruce had a contingency plan in the event of his death: Code Black. Later, a news article reported his death as caused by the collapse of Wayne Manor. Dick reveals that Bruce did this so often, that no one would question the date and times of his acts as Bruce Wayne, citing that the "drunk dancing" stripper act was actually on an entirely different night then reported.īatman served as Gotham's protector for over fifteen years until his encounter with Ra's al Ghul resulted in his death. He would then plant the evidence of his deeds and stunts as Bruce Wayne in the GCPD and News Outlets to coincide with the times he was acting as Batman to remove suspicion of Bruce being Batman. Bruce would often go out in public and do outrageous acts and actions such as pretending to be drunk at the Iceberg Lounge and strip dancing for the crowds. ĭuring his tenure as Batman, Bruce would often go to extreme measures to hide his identity. ![]() Sometime during his role as Batman, Bruce would adopt and take on Dick Grayson as his first protégé. Īt the insistence of Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce began to made Audio logs as a means of Bruce to record his thoughts and feelings. When he returned, he became Batman, a vigilante who fought crime with the aid of specialized gadgets and vehicles and operated out of a secret Batcave underneath Wayne Manor. He trained extensively to achieve mental and physical perfection, in addition to mastering martial arts, detective techniques, and criminal psychology. In 1988, when his parents, Thomas and Martha Wayne, were gunned down in front of him, young Bruce Wayne resolved to rid Gotham City of the criminal element that took their lives. ![]()
